The Emergency Department at Community Hospital of Los Gatos provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to patients of all ages. An Emergency Department Physician is on duty in the department 24 hours a day, and specialty consultation is available for General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics / Gynecology, Neurology and Orthopedics.

The emergency department is a receiving hospital for paramedic traffic, with direct contact to county communications by radio and the Internet.

The nurses are highly skilled and professionally trained and certified in their specialty. The Emergency Department is a 12-bed unit with some of the latest equipment, supplies, and drug intervention therapies. It also has on site diagnostic resources immediately available including C-T Scan, lab, x-ray and EKG.
